What to do when it snows?
Those of us in the Midwest have been hearing about “Storm Q’ for some time now. Well it moved in slow, but it has finally arrived. I am not a huge fan of cold weather or snow. I grew up in Cali, so I favor warmer temps. February is that time of year when I start to get a tad edgy-I want to get outside on the bike. Yes I can still run outdoors, but with treadmills and a track at the gym, I do not feel the need to freeze my toosh off outside. And with school canceled for today and probably tomorrow, it is time to drag out the dreaded bike trainer and get my miles in. I guess that’s what I get for starting my training plan in the middle of winter. So for those struggling with the winter that seems like it will never end, hang tight, spring will be here soon. Just make sure to stay active, whether it be weight lifting, yoga, snow shoeing, shoveling…Happy snow day Midwesterners.
